Happy Halloween!!

Well Halloween has come and gone for the Turner's!  We such a fun time trick or treating!  We left our house about 5:30 and got back home around 9:00.  When we laid Emma & Evan down for the night...they didn't even make a peep!  They were worn out.  We visited Justin's mom's, one of his aunt's, my parents, Alison's, & lastly Katie's and that was all we had time for!  Here are some pictures from our night!

Emma, aka "Pebbles", grinning for a picture.  Ignore our rotten pumpkins in the background! :)

My silly girl!

Evan, aka "Bam Bam"

Our looking scared faces!

Best attempt at a good picture of the two of them together!

Daddy with his babies!

Momma with her babies!!

And these were full with goodies by the end of the night!  We might not need candy for months!

Our snowman goodies we made for our friends!  Some of them have yet to be delivered!!  If Evan gets a hold of them...they may be gone!  He loves some marshmallows!! That was just glimpse of our night!!

In other Turner news...I did the paint and pour again last night.  We did snowmen this time and I think mine turned out pretty good.  MUCH better than the pumpkins we did last time.  What do you think??
It might actually make an appearance in our house after Christmas.  Speaking of Christmas...something arrived at our house today.

I know it is still to early to start this...but I was excited so I had to post it.  I am working on what our elf's name will be!  I have an idea...but it isn't definite yet.  Guess what also arrived today...

That's right...Emma's initials for her room!  Since I haven't decided if I am going to paint the room to match her new paintings or not...this won't be getting paint real soon!  I am excited though.  I think it will look great on her wall!!

That's it for tonight....we hope you guys had a fun Halloween!!

Southern Living...

I wish this post would be full of the beautiful home pictures or delicious food pictures that you see in a Southern Living magazine but it will be far from it.  When you are from the south there are a few things that just come naturally...most of the time and one of those things is hunting.  Luckily for me...my hunny LOVES to hunt!  He also has big hopes that our sweet little man will share his love for hunting.  After Saturday morning...he might just get his wish.  Justin killed his first deer of the season and Evan was all over it when Justin brought it by the house.  He didn't mind touching it, playing with it's ears & antlers or even pushing on his eyeballs!  I know that is GROSS but Justin loved every minute of it!  Here are some pictures of my two men with the deer!

This was as close as my sweet girl would get.  The whole southern girl things might have skipped over this one! :)

Of course we took one of Daddy & Evan with the deer!  It was a pretty big deer.  It almost weighed 160 lbs.  For around here...that's a decent buck.  Then, it was one to another Southern tradition....a cookout, bon fire, and hayride!  Our Sunday school class had a get together Saturday night.  It was such a fun time.  Brian grilled us hotdogs while all the kids played in the field and the adults talked.  Then it was time to eat and Brian started the bon fire.  The kids had a ball making s'mores.  My two wouldn't even eat the marshmallows.   Then we all loaded up on the trailer and went for a hayride down through the woods.  We were all covered in blankets.  The kids were squealing and howling at the moon.  I seriously thought Emma and Evan were going to fall asleep.  It was definitely a fun night.  I think Brian said there were 53 people there.  Here are my two sweeties on our way to the gathering.  I should have taken their picture later on in the night with all our gear on!  They didn't get cold though!! :)

And lastly...today after church we went to Justin's mom's house for our annual Pumpkin carving with her sisters and their families.  Since we had already carved our pumpkins and all we had were the two small pumpkins Emma & Evan picked at the pumpkin patch...I took some paint and we just painted our pumpkins.  Here are a couple pictures from that get together!!

My sweet boy painting away!!

And this is Daddy taking it easy!  He had things under control!!

We have had such a fun three day weekend spending time together as a family!  After we got home this afternoon and Evan woke up from his nap...yes Emma decided to forgo naptime again today...we went outside for a while so Daddy could cut the grass.  As I was sitting on the driveway watching Emma & Evan throwing a ball & chase, while squealing the whole time...I thought...this is what Southern Living truly is!  We are enjoying our sweet little ones and the joy they bring to our lives!  So, that it is for this little post!  Jason & Ashley brought us 6 more big trash bags full of clothes today...so I have a long night of separating clothes in front of me. Of what I have seen so far...it's shoes, pj's, sweaters, long sleeve & short sleeve button up shirts,  pants, jackets, pullovers....and who knows what else.  And don't let me for get to mention...this is all boy stuff 18 months to 2T.  I don't know where in the world they get all these clothes but I am sure thankful!  They said the girl stuff this size would be making it's way to us soon!  Yikes and Yippee all at the same time!!  Hope you all have a great week!!

A trip to the Children's Museum...

Well, we are back from the Children's Museum.  I know you are probably thinking...this is a little fast to already be blogging about the trip...but I am waiting on Emma to go to sleep.  Since we have swapped their rooms she can see & hear me if I am in the den or kitchen.  So since I am confined to my bedroom for a while...I thought I'd use my time wisely!  We had a great time.  I wasn't really sure how much their would be for E&E to do but there was plenty.  We definitely will have to go back again when they are a little older though.  Here are some pictures from our day...

Emma trying to drive the race car.  She had to stand up because she couldn't see the screen if she sat down.

Boy did they enjoy this!  You put the balls in and the air pushed it around in these tunnels.  They watched Daddy demonstrate in the first picture...then they knew exactly what to do!

Evan was a little unsure about the wind tunnel.  Emma would have no part in it!

They would have stayed here for hours trying to catch that ball that was floating on air!

My little grocery shopper....getting her cart, loading it with groceries, and checking her stuff out!

Our future little banker. Uncle Matt says to find another profession!

And we found Clifford!!!

This wasn't supposed to be a slide but the other kids were doing it so Daddy let our join the fun!

Playing in the dog bone sandbox!

Playing tic-tac-toe with the robot.  They didn't win!!

On to the farm and playing with the chickens and pigs. We tried to get E&E to sit on the saddle.  Emma did it briefly but Evan wouldn't cooperate!

Emma working the crane!  Or at least she was trying too!

Evan watching Daddy move the bricks.  He helped load them on this machine!

On to the recycling truck.  There was so many buttons to push that made noises.  They were in heaven!

Until we found the water table!  My two LOVE to play in water.  So, I think this quickly became their favorite exhibit!

And lastly...we found the glow in the dark putty.  Daddy tried to take a picture with the flash on because Evan was so hard to see.  He wasn't glowing!  But Emma & I sure were with our white on.  They really thought this was neat!

Here is my sweet girl all smiles from her fun morning and my sweet boy hardly made

it out of the parking lot!  By the time we got to Swoozies's, she was out too!  I made a quick trip in their for some birthday stuff!  They slept for about 30 minutes...mainly what we sat on Woodruff road not moving...but we had to wake them up for lunch!  So, here it is 3:30 and they are still in their cribs talking!  We are supposed to go to Katie's for supper tonight so I was hoping they would go back to sleep...but it isn't looking to good for us!  Anyways...if you ever have a chance to go to the Children's Museum...I suggest going!  It was fun!!
