The Greenwood County Fair

Well,  Wednesday night we headed to the Greenwood County Fair.  I have lived here all 30 years of my life and I have never been to the Greenwood Fair.  It was much better than I was expecting.  I knew it wouldn't compare to the State Fair but it was much bigger than I thought it would be.  Like I mentioned in my earlier post it was pretty cool outside but I guess Fair weather is cooler weather.  We pulled up and there were VERY few cars in the parking lot so we went for supper and headed back.  This time there were more cars there and the tiger show was about to start.  Evan loved it.  Emma was pretty excited too!  After the show you could feed the tiger.  Evan wanted to do it until it was time to actually do it.  Then, he got scared.  So, Justin fed the tiger and then all of a sudden Evan wanted to do it again.  We weren't paying to do it again...so he just had to settle for watching Daddy feed the tiger.

Jumping through the ring of fire!

The white tiger!

Daddy feeding the tiger!

Then of course we had to stop by the petting zoo before we left.  We fed goats and petted the donkeys, turkeys, cows, chickens, and horses.  This kind of stuff is what Evan LOVES!!  He's going to own a farm one day...I know it! :)

So, that was our trip to the fair.  We didn't ride any of the rides because we hope to go the state fair in a couple of weeks and I wasn't spending money on that stuff twice!  So, it was a fun night.  Well, considering I didn't look at the date of the next 96 game we won't be attending one tonight because this week is their by week! As for other news...we had a low country boil at work this afternoon.  We have started having parking lot parties on Friday afternoons and I love it.  The accounting department is responsible for the next outing.  We have already started planning! I also ordered my first Christmas present today!  We had planned to get Emma a bitty baby by American Girl for Christmas.  Luckily for us...Janice was watching the Today show this morning and the American girl doll and bitty baby were their steal and deal of the day!  She called and I was able to order Emma's baby for 60% off!  I was SO excited!!  I know she is going to love her bitty baby! That was pretty much it for our week.  Justin has to work all weekend so we won't be doing much ourselves.  Have a happy weekend!!

Pure cuteness and a breakthru for Evan!!

Well, this past weekend was our third Saturday of the month outing with our Sunday School class.  We met at Mig's at 5:00 and then headed over to Cambridge park.  Justin had given me strict instructions that we were to be home by 7:45 and we were!  Clemson football is very important to my sweet hubby!  I was nice and dressed my babies in Clemson attire once again.  Mainly because I found the cutest little Clemson dress and Emma is going to wear it  Great thing is that it is adjustable and she will be able to wear it next year too!

This was a picture of my sweet girl!!  Evan wouldn't let me take his picture.  After Clemson lost Saturday night I came to the conclusion that every time my sweeties wear Clemson attire Clemson loses.  So, I suggested that in order to help Clemson win that I would only dress them in Carolina stuff from now on but Justin didn't like that idea!  I promised E&E that I would take them to the park Monday when I picked them up from the nursery.  I didn't both to look at the weather before I made that promise.  So, it was a little cooler and cloudy but they had a great time playing.

Where did my babies go??  They look so grown up here!

Then, Monday night we started our new bible study at church.  We are doing Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed by Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, & Kay Arthur.  One the video started I realized I did the bible study at work years ago.  I think this is the bible study that made me LOVE Priscilla Shirer.  Anyway...I am looking forward to doing it again and learning more about David!  I have decided that I want to take up a new hobby and bought me a Silhouette Cameo machine!  As if my monogramming doesn't take up enough time...I've added something too it.  My new machine came yesterday and I am super excited to get started making some things.  I have to shared the latest thing for Emma & Evan's birthday party!  I have each of them a painting shirt but wanted to add something girly for Emma. What better than a tu-tu??  It is the cutest little thing and will be perfect for her birthday outfit!
I am getting so excited about their party.  I am working on the aprons as we speak and also the table decorations!  It's definitely going to be colorful!! :)

And now for the breakthrough for Evan...yes you guessed it...he's starting to pee pee & poop in the potty.  I haven't said anything because it is still a work in progress but hey at least it is progress!  So, as an incentive for using the potty....we told Evan we would take him to the Tiger Exhibit at the County Fairgrounds tonight.  So, once again it is cold and cloudy but when we make a promise we try to keep that promise.  So, come back for an update on how the Tiger Exhibit goes and maybe a football game update.  There is a home football game Friday night...so we might try to head to that as well. Happy Hump Day!

Happy Birthday Daddy and a crazy new week

Monday we celebrated Justin's 33rd birthday!  Man, he is getting old! :)  We started our celebration at the beach when we made him some homemade cupcakes.  Well actually MaMa baked the cupcakes while Katie & I sat on the beach and Emma & Evan napped.  Then, once they got up...they helped ice the cupcakes and decorate them with sprinkles.  They had so much fun and they picked out which one they wanted Daddy to have.  So, we put candles on that one and waited until after supper to eat their special treat!  Then, Monday night after work we took him out for supper to O'Charleys....one of Justin's favorite restaurants.  We gave him our gift which was a new Clemson jacket.  He loved it because 1)he loves anything Clemson and 2)He needed a new rain jacket! Here are the couple pictures I took while celebrating at the beach!

I think they may have sampled the icing!!

Anyway...we had fun celebrating one great Daddy & husband!  As for our exciting week...Emma & Evan started Building Blocks this week!  It went much better than I was expecting.  Even Amy has said several times how well they are doing.  They haven't cried yet when we left them and they both come home talking about their day!  I was worried about nap time but they have adjusted well to that.  Evan still wakes up wanting someone to hold him but that is just what my snuggle bug is use to doing!  But since they are eating lunch MUCH earlier and are taking naps MUCH earlier...they are starving by suppertime and are exhausted by 9:00.  It isn't hard to get them into bed anymore.  Now getting up in the mornings is a different story!  But overall...it has gone good!  We have some fun times planned for the next few months!  We are planning a trip to the state fair, hopefully a trip back to the pumpkin patch and maybe another apple picking trip!  Then, we have several birthday parties...one of which is Emma & Evan's... and the planning for that is almost completed!  Yay for this momma!!  Can't forget Halloween since our cowboy and cowgirl's costumes are all ready and our trip to the Polar Express.  New pj's and tickets have been ordered.  I tell ya...I have been busy.  I have even started working on my Christmas list!  But for now my hubby is home from his softball game and 5:30 comes early...so it's bedtime for this momma!

What a vacation

Well, vacation is over and what a week we had!  September is the most PERFECT time to go to the beach.  Several times we were the only ones out on the beach.

Nothing is better than having the whole beach to yourself!! Granted one of those times it was raining but when you are stuck inside someone else's house with two two-year-olds who have as much energy as mine have...you just go outside and play in the rain.  We were going to get wet anyway...right??  So, instead of giving you a play by play of our week...I will just share some pictures!  We were so glad most all of the family was able to join us for the trip.  Nick didn't get to come and Alison & Reid left on Thursday but we got to love on that sweet baby for a few days!  And of course we got to play with sweet little Laney!  The weather was mid-80's most days and cloudy.  It really only rained on Monday and then a couple nights after we were in for the night.  Like I said it was perfect weather!
I had to share this picture because these kids travel beds were the perfect thing for Emma & Evan to sleep in!  They loved them!

Uncle Matt telling Daddy about the big hole he planned to dig!

And the major digging begins!

And then Daddy takes a turn!

And the final product!  It was definitely a BIG hole!

Miss Priss showing off her monogrammed hat!  Yes...made by her mother!

Daddy & Uncle Matt working on the most difficult puzzle ever!  We always work a puzzle and this year my mom bought a round 700 piece puzzle!  No fear...Matt, momma, & myself worked it like champs!  Justin & Katie helped a little.

Isn't this the most crazy puzzle.  Next year...I am buying the puzzle!

Jumping waves with Aunt Katie and telling PaPa all about the beach!

Figuring out the most perfect time to fill their watering buckets and the nice little shark the little boy right next to us caught!  Needless to say...Emma & Evan weren't allowed in the water anymore past their knees!  I'm afraid to know where this little guys momma was!

Playing with Daddy and in the sand!!

Me with my sweeties!  Ignore the hot mess I am!!

Going for a walk with MaMa & PaPa!

The beautiful sunrise!  Nothing compares to watching the sunrise out over the ocean while listening to How Great Thou Art playing.  It was one of my most favorite parts of this vacation!

So more playing time with Daddy, PaPa, Katie, & Matt!

And while Laney slept...Aunt Katie played with the big kids!

This was pre-shark fun!

And of course our routine feeding of the birds!  They loved my cheese puffs!

Taking a little snack break!

And the two little ones napping on the beach!  Reid is about to catch Laney!!

Nothing makes me happier than to see my sweet babies happy and enjoying life!  They are such blessings to us!!

And of course our routine family photo's!

As bad as I hate to say it... we may have a future soccer player...or football kicker on our hands!

And I'll end with this sweetness!  I sure hope they stay close forever!

What a great time Vacation 2014 was!!
