Outside time...

So...Justin finally picked up the trampoline today!  I knew Emma & Evan would love it because they love jumping.  At school every morning...we have to step up on the sidewalk several times just so they can jump off!  So, of course I took some pictures of Emma & Evan helping Justin put it together and then some of them jumping!  Emma loved it right away.  Evan had to warm up a little but it didn't take long!  Hopefully this will be a fun toy for them to enjoy.

Our BIG helpers!!

And she's off...

Jumping away as she waits for Evan to join her!

Evan still warming up.  He had to watch Emma first!

What a fun action shot.  Emma LOVED it.

Jumping away...

So, once we made them get off...we have heard "I jump" only a couple hundred times.  We're just hoping all that jumping wore them out and they sleep all night.  Emma ate two bowls of shrimp pasta at supper...so it sure helped her work up an appetite!!  Hope you're all getting outside and enjoying this Fall weather! Good night!!

More from Pinterest and what the Turner's have been up too...

I'm still pinning stuff and creating stuff.  Here are the cute little gifts we made for Emma & Evan's classmates birthday's this years.

What kid wouldn't want crayons right??

Also, I have been busy working on Halloween, birthdays, and Christmas.  Emma & Evan are going to be Pebbles & Bam Bam for Halloween.  I changed my mind several times about what they were going to be for Halloween.  At first, I couldn't find a Pebbles & Bam Bam outfit that I liked...so I decided to try Mickey & Minnie Mouse since they both love them right now.  Every outfit I found looked like a baby costume...so I decided I would just make them Scarecrow costumes...thanks to a picture on Pinterest.  That idea didn't last long because I am not a seamstress...and decided to give the Pebbles & Bam Bam idea a second chance!  Luckily I found these CUTE costumes on Etsy!!  Now...we just have to pray the weather is warm like it was last year or I will be looking for some long sleeve t-shirts to go under these costumes.

Bam Bam

And Pebbles...

Emma's "bone hair bow" hasn't arrived yet.  I am so excited about Halloween.

As for birthday's ....we are in full party planning mode!  I have been working on some small decorative things that can be done ahead of time. I have talked with Trisha about doing their cakes, I have our 2 year old pictures scheduled, I have their cute Owl outfits and I am working on the invitations.  I found a picture of the perfect invitation on Pinterest but I can't find it anywhere online.  I am hoping the lady at Office Supply can make it for me!  Thanks to Kasey and her Cricut... we have some CUTE goodie bag tags.  Evan's tool/work bench has arrived and Justin is dreading putting that together.  There are like a million pieces to this thing!  Emma's kitchen hasn't arrived yet but it has shipped...so it will be here soon!  Her apron did arrive this past week though.  How cute is it???

I have think we have their birthday covered!! As for Christmas...I have an idea of what we are getting E&E but I change my mind regularly...so I won't say just yet what they are getting...in case I change my mind!  Evan's gift has already changed 3 times and it isn't even October yet. I found out earlier this week that my latest idea for Evan is what Easton is getting for his birthday.  So we are planning to see if Evan likes Easton's present before we definitely buy it!!  I am still pretty sure of what Emma is getting...but there are just so many toys that I think they will love!  Decisions, Decisions!!

We are getting ready for fall around here too!!  Deer season is in full swing, football is on our TV constantly, our pool is covered (before it collected tons of leaves and turned green)...and my fall flowers have been planted!!  I love some pansies.  You can't really kill them!! A friend of Justin's is wanting to get rid of his trampoline...so I think we may get it for Emma & Evan.  Since they are big fans of jumping on my bed right now...we think they may just love a trampoline.  Plus, with the beautiful fall weather we are having...it will be a great use of outside time!  We have some busy weekends ahead.  Birthday parties, Denver Downs pumpkin patch, picture appointments, football games...and much more are on our to do list for the next few months.  Check back soon to see what's going on with the Turner's!!

A weekend get-a-way...

While I wait for the load of laundry in the washing machine to wash and the dryer to dry...I thought I'd give the blog a little update.  We are just returning from a fun filled mini vacation to the beach with some friends (Meg, Aaron, Warren, Jillian, Jonathan, Bennett, Katie & Matt).  Meg booked us a condo several months ago.  Jillian, Meg, & their families headed down Thursday at lunch.  Justin, me & the kiddos headed down after work on Thursday and Katie & Matt joined us Friday after work.  We had debated whether to leave Thursday after work or wait until Friday morning.  Remember the whole mountain trip and the nightmare time we had with crying babies that first night.  You probably don't...but trust me...Justin, Matt, Katie, & I do! :)  We decided to leave Thursday.  We had planned to be on the road by 5:30...but we had some visitors stop by and that put us leaving at 5:45.  We stopped in Columbia for supper and to change into our PJ's.  The trip was going as planned.  Emma went to sleep about 8:30 and Evan continued to watch TV.  At about 10:00...he had had enough of the car and was ready to lay down. We still had about 45 minutes of driving but he didn't understand that and the crying started!  After about 30 minutes of that Emma woke up and wasn't happy so she decided to start crying too.  It was turning into the same nightmare at the mountains.  Thanks to Jillian and Meg...their pack-n-plays were already set up and waiting for us when we finally got to the house.  We laid them our bed and Evan went right to sleep.  Emma had had a good little nap and wasn't sleepy at all anymore.  She stayed up with us until about 12:00.  So, it wasn't as bad as the mountain trip...but it wasn't far behind.  We spent Friday morning at the beach with all the kiddos playing.  We took Emma & Evan back up around 1:00 for lunch and a bath. Since they didn't actually get down until 2:00 and we were leaving for supper at 6:00 we didn't head back to the beach that day.  We went out for seafood Friday night and it was YUMMY.  Saturday, we spent that morning at the beach too.  After our lunch and a nap...we went for a swim in the pool and down to see the Alligator nearby that you can feed.  We had a low country boil for supper and we ALL enjoyed that.  Who wouldn't though.  Then the guys thought it would be fun to take the kids back to the ocean to chase crabs.  Those little things running around my feet creeped me out a little.  We also saw some fireworks and Emma wasn't a fan of the fireworks! We headed home today and after a few exciting stops...we finally made it home about 3:00.  We had a great time and are looking forward to making it an annual trip!  Here are a few pictures from the weekend...
Warren, Evan, & Emma checking out the view!

Aaron caught some mullet and put in this bucket.  They were jumping out.  Evan, Emma, & Bennett are closely watching but none really wanted to touch the fish.

Getting ready to fish!

Horrible picture of me...but I sure love these babies!!

She decided to wear Aunt Katie's hat!  She isn't a baby anymore!! :(

I didn't do to good with the picture taking...but my camera died and I didn't have my charger.  I have started using my cell phone camera a lot more instead of my camera...so I didn't even think about the charger.  Anyways...that was our fun-filled weekend.  We get to do this all over again in a few weeks with some different friends.  Me, Katie, KG, Angela, the kids, and the husbands are going to the mountains in November.  We love to hang out with good friends!!

Being creative...

People kept talking and talking about Pinterest but I wasn't very interested.  BUT now...I can't quit looking at it.  There are SO many neat ideas on there.  This week was Emma & Evan's teacher at school's birthday so we found this cute little teacher gift idea.
I really think Ms. Melissa liked it!!

Then, I started looking for something we could do for our grandparents since Grandparent's Day is Sunday.   Learning Express will be celebrating Grandparent's Day but it isn't for a few more weeks.  Of course, I found this cute idea on Pinterest too!

It is just a sweet little poem about a grandchild's hand.  So, of course we had to get out the paint to do E&E's handprints  Once the paint came out, all I heard for what seemed like hours was "I paint"! So, I gave in and let them paint.  I didn't have any poster board this time so we improvised.  I tore open some boxes I had and they went to town.

You know she means business when she wanted me to take her paci.  I guess it was getting in her way!
He's just as contempt with using present boxes for paper!!

One of the reason's I love Pinterest is because you can find such cute ideas that don't cost hardly anything!! One of Emma & Evan's classmates birthday's is coming up soon...and I have already found a cute idea to do for each child in their class this year when their birthday rolls around.  Not to mention that I have already pinned an idea for Valentine's & the end of the school year.  I would have done Christmas but we are still planning on the sand dollar ornaments working out! :)  This momma is on the ball!!  Do you guys love Pinterest like I do??

I Love You...

Each night our routine is the same!  We take a bath and put on our pj's or t-shirt or whatever we decide to let them sleep in that night.  Then, we head to the den and drink some milk while we watch TV.  If Justin is in a generous mood...we get to watch Mickey Mouse while we drink our milk.  If he's not...we end up watching the hunting channel or something only men would be interested in! Just recently they have both started wanting to sit in my lap at night and not Justin's.  I kind-of feel sorry for Justin but at the same time...it makes me feel special that they want to cuddle with me before bedtime.  Then, we give each other kisses and Emma always gives Evan a kiss.  Most of the time he just pushes her away...but occasionally he will let her kiss him!  Then, we head to their room for our nightly bedtime bible story.  After story time they each stand up in their crib wanting you to hug them goodnight.  I know they are just putting off going to bed...but nevertheless I love those hugs!!  Here lately when you tell them "I love you", they will say it back and it is absolutely priceless!! Some days when being a mom has been tough or I 've just had a not so good day...this time always reminds me how lucky we are!  We don't have perfect babies but wouldn't trade them for anything in this world!  So, hopefully you all have some special routines with your little ones that you will cherish forever!!  Good night!!!

B is for Birthday...

It hasn't been a whole 24 hours since I posted last but we have had LOTS of things go on including celebrating Justin's birthday.  Well, he started his birthday celebration with a win from his Clemson Tigers.  They beat Georgia 38-35.  Then, this afternoon his family and my families came over for cake and ice cream.  Here are some pictures from our afternoon.
  Before the party began...

Justin asked me why I got a number 2 when he was only 31.  I had to remind him that he was 31 last year!! :)

We ended our night with a swim and a power outage!  A tree down the road fell and down went the power line.  As I was sitting here with Justin waiting on the power to come back on, Emma & Evan were already asleep, I realized how dependent we are on modern conveniences.   My computer was dead and my phone was dead and I didn't know what to do.  I decided to get out my bible and just spend some time reading.  My mom and I were talking tonight about the Clemson game last night.  There were probably over 80,000 people in that stadium last night and most of them had probably been there for hours waiting on this game to start.  How different would our world look if we were that excited about Jesus??  If we were willing to wait hours upon hours to see Him or to worship Him?? I am not saying anything is bad about going to a football game it just makes you wonder how our priorities in life have gotten so mixed up.  We aren't willing to give God more than just a few hours on Sunday but we can spend hours of our time hanging around waiting on a game that in the long run will have no affect on where we spend our eternity!  Just something to think about.  Anyways...hope you guys have a great Labor Day and I promise no more blog updates for a while! :)
